Covenants Committee Meetings

 

Due to the requirements of the Florida HOA statute, the Covenants Committee cannot meet or act without providing the HOA's membership with a prior notice of at least 2 weeks. To minimize the challenges this requirement places on the HOA's members, the committee members have graciously agreed to schedule the entire year's meetings as noted below.

 

 

Unless otherwise announced, the agenda for all Covenants Committee meetings is:

1. Call to order, establish a quorum, and recognize any guests
2. Approval of minutes
3. Members' comments
4. Chair's report
5. Consideration of requests
6. Old business
7. New business
8. Adjournment

IMPORTANT:  If there are no requests by noon on the Friday before a meeting, that meeting will be canceled.  

 

All members of RGA are invited to the Covenants Committee meetings, chaired by Eric Daniel. Guests may also be allowed to attend, at Eric's discretion. Contact Eric to request a meeting link. If you do not have access to Zoom, let him know, and arrangements will be made for you to attend at a committee member's location.  Contact information is available at the "Contacts" tab at the top of this screen.

 

River Gardens Association members with an urgent request can ask the chair to schedule a Covenants Committee meeting on a date not posted here. However, we are seldom able to accommodate those requests because the Florida HOA statute requires (a) that a notice be sent to all association members at least 2 weeks before the meeting and (b) that a quorum be present. Those statutory requirements make it very difficult to schedule a meeting more quickly than one that is already scheduled.
